Financial Analyst or Management Consultant
Continued company growth, even in a challenging economy, provides opportunity for two new hires in our client’s San Francisco Office. This twenty-two-year West Coast firm continues to be a regional leader in municipal financial consulting. These positions offer an opportunity to apply your strong quantitative mind and work ethic in practical public policy settings.
This position will focus on quantitative and spreadsheet analysis with opportunity to grow into expanded policy evaluation, marketing and management. You will provide consulting services to municipal clients, including financial forecasting, utility rate modeling, fee and charge calculation and cost allocation studies. Work content will also include related feasibility, management and organizational studies.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Analytical (modeling) work content with increased responsibility for collecting and validating data and documenting analytical and policy issues.
- Increasing responsibility for evaluating analytical alternatives and public policy issues as related to governmental finance and economics.
- Working effectively toward specific project objectives on time and within designated budget.
- Contributing to client and marketing presentations.
- Participating in business development activities.
Qualified candidates will have:
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret analytical results a must.
- Degree in Engineering, Economics, Accounting and Business or quantitative discipline; masters preferred.
- Experience - Two to five years experience for the consultant opening and for the analyst position, up to two years of proven professional experience would be a great plus.
- Mastery of Excel and Word. Familiarity with Access, VBA and Statistical Packages also valuable.
- Strong communications skills.
